For 12 Months Chris Wright Baildon has been using HaulTech’s Transport Management Software (TMS) and Customer Service Portal to streamline its administration process and manage its transport operations.
Last May we wrote about Chris Wright Baildon joining HaulTech to help reduce their data duplication and improve their customers’ experience. The general haulage firm has a wide array of vehicles from low loaders to plant trailers and needed help dealing with the amount of admin that comes from running a transport company. Upon learning that HaulTech’s multi-award-winning system will eliminate data duplication and increase productivity, the company saw it as a no-brainer to implement the software solution.
Fast forward 1 year and the well-renowned company is continuously seeing improvements to its operations, thanks to the TMS. We spoke to Scott Ashdown, Operations Manager for Chris Wright Baildon to see how he has found using HaulTech’s Transport Management System.
HaulTech: Can you tell us how you found implementing the TMS into your business?
Scott: Introducing something like this into any business is going to be a challenge. Everyone has to adapt to new processes and technologies and that in itself is extremely difficult. In fact, that was one of the key factors as to why we chose to work with HaulTech, they told us that they would support us until we were 100% comfortable and capable of using the system and they did. We didn’t hit a hitch throughout implementation and now we can’t remember a time before HaulTech.
HaulTech: Why did you want a system in the business?
Scott: We were originally looking for something just because we were so busy with all the incoming jobs that paperwork was becoming increasingly difficult to stay on top of. Then one day we spoke to HaulTech and learned about the software. It honestly seemed a bit too good to be true but it was worth the punt and it paid off. We now get work done faster.
HaulTech: How do you find using the Transport Management System?
Scott: It definitely takes some getting used to, especially when you are working a certain way beforehand. But once you pick it up, it’s simple and noticeably a better way of working.
HaulTech: How has the software helped Chris Wright Baildon?
Scott: We work better. We do everything so much faster and it’s helped the office productivity and moral to shoot up because we aren’t drowning in paperwork anymore..
HaulTech: Why did you choose HaulTech to be your provider?
Scott: They just seemed the most friendly company out of all the other providers, there was a lot of communication and are always there if we need support. Just recently we needed something and they went out of their way to add something to the system to help us.
