C Butt Logistics, based in Northampton, have reduced their carbon footprint and saved money through HaulTech’s solutions.
Since acquiring their first vehicle back in 1919, C Butt Logistics have gone from strength to strength over the last 100 years and have become one of the largest transport and warehouse service providers in the Midlands. With an 80-strong fleet of vehicles, HaulTech were presented with the task of not only reducing road risk and protecting insurance premiums, but to reduce operational costs as well.

The organisation used both MPG and idle running to implement further cost saving and environmental reporting that provided the tools and insight to support C Butt’s philosophy of continuous improvement.
Aside from reducing fuel consumption and saving on operational costs through full telematics, the vehicle CCTV solutions also greatly benefitted the organisation, its drivers and vulnerable road users. The company installed forward facing and near-side camera solutions with a dashboard monitor that reduced near-side blind-spots for their drivers. From an insurance perspective the last two months has seen C Butt disprove two false claims made against them. Most recently, the vehicle CCTV system provided the key evidence to prove the innocence of the C Butt driver. Thanks to the easy to use replay software, the vehicle’s near side camera revealed the actions of the third party put them at fault – which contradicted the claims being made by the third party.
