In review of a challenging 2020, HaulTech’s continued investment and support towards the success of their customers has delivered real and impactful change.
As HaulTech approaches the end of its 28th year in operation, it has certainly been the strangest in the near three-decade history of the business. Despite what 2020 has thrown at HaulTech, the business has remained strong and continued to deliver game-changing technologies to hauliers across the UK. Below is a summary of this year for HaulTech and all the activities we’ve been up to.
Internally in the business, HaulTech has seen a seamless transition to home working inline with government guidelines. Thanks to the future-proofing technologies employed by the business, HaulTech staff were able to continue supporting customers without any hindrance. The customer support team continues to receive high praise from customers, especially following the move to remote working. Whilst employment seemed to stall throughout the UK, HaulTech has increased the staffing count by 33%. The in-house innovation team has increased by 75% which has led to further developments to the HaulTech product suite.
HaulTech’s Transport Management System has undergone some major developments including the brand-new signature capture app and customer service portal. Both of these advancements are the first in a long line of revolutionary enhancements as HaulTech moves towards its next-generation technologies. Companies adopting HaulTech’s Transport Management System has continued to rise with a 63% uptake on 2019, which was a record-setting year at the time. More fleet operators have also installed HaulTech’s integrated vehicle CCTV and tracking solutions than ever before. With Direct Vision Standard coming into effect in October, HaulTech have been delighted to support hauliers all across the UK in achieving the necessary equipment to operate uninterrupted in London.
HaulTech director Clare Chidlow established the importance of the companies involvement in the local community stating “We want the business to help make a difference in Stoke and Staffordshire all year round. It’s been one of our key goals for a number of years now and we’re so glad we were able to continue this in 2020”. HaulTech’s continued support for the Alice Charity included the sponsorship of the ‘Bump and Beyond’ in May and attending a charity Golf Day in September – along with regular sponsorship supporting the charity.
In October, following the Marcus Rashford campaign to provide school meals for children living in poverty, the company was moved to action and contributed to ensure that 50 school children didn’t go hungry.
HaulTech director Craig Lamont stated that “We are delighted to have supported so many hauliers, both new and old, through one of the strangest and most difficult years in recent memory.
Our 2020 has seen a large investment into the future success of the hauliers we support. We have an exciting 2021 planned with developments across the board to continue helping our customers achieve their potential.”
Craig went on to add that he is “really proud of the team, not only for what they have achieved this year but doing it in these unusual circumstances”.
