HaulTech’s Transport Management Software Solutions have been transforming haulage operations for nearly 3 decades. With a legacy of designing transport software with a simplistic approach to the job receipt to invoice process, the newest development of HaulTech’s technologies is here. The in-house innovation team have worked tirelessly to form the foundations of the next generation of haulage technologies. The brand-new signature capture app is the first of a 12-month development schedule that will deliver real change for the operations of hauliers across the UK with brand-new technologies.

The in-cab proof of delivery solution has been designed to provide complete management of the delivery process. The system allows small to medium-sized hauliers to move to a completely paperless system. Paper-based processes create rigid transport operations as they are inflexible to any changes that take place during the job receipt to invoice process. HaulTech’s solution create the fluidity that is require to keep up with an every changing transport office. Ad-hoc work, changes to the goods description, weights for collections or deliveries and changing on-site regulations are a regular occurrence.

The new signature capture solution allows real-time manifest selection, including updated work and altering of load descriptions. The improved user interface of the app allows drivers to easily access the information they need, when they need it. With the easy-to-use interface, drivers can simply update each job as they complete it.
With access to full consignment details including consignee names, booking references, site specific health and safety protocols and delivery or collection instructions, users realise operational improvements and a further reduction of the paper administration associated with completed transport work. Signatures and images captured with the device are immediately sent back to the HaulTech Transport Management System and automatically logged against the job and associated against the customer, ready to be invoiced within seconds.
For fleet operators, the new HaulTech signature capture app helps fleet operators to improve the safety and working conditions for their drivers. Before they head out on the road, vehicle and trailer checks can be completed by the driver within the app and ensures they safely prepared for the day ahead. The signature capture app also removes the need for the transport office to communicate directly with the driver whilst they are out on the road. Currently, ad-hoc work is passed to a driver via phone call, text message or email. Not only are these methods outdated but they are unsafe, inefficient and potentially illegal. HaulTech’s new technologies reduces the number of driver distractions through the real-time manifest updates which come directly from the HaulTech Transport Management Software.

The app, made in conjunction and supported by the European Regional Development Fund and the Staffordshire Digital Innovation Partnership from Staffordshire University, is available now on both the App Store and Google Play Store, respectively.
